Mom Life | A Reminder
This is a reminder. A reminder to myself and to anyone else who needs to hear it.
We are constantly changing and constantly growing. We are CONTINUALLY meeting new versions of ourselves. I like to think that as we grow older, we grow smarter. We have more experiences, we’ve made more than enough mistakes and we learn to plan ahead. We hustle smarter. That’s pretty dope, if you ask me.
There’s bills due, weight to lose or gain, credit scores to fix, money to save, new jobs to start, cars to fix, errands to do, things to clean- it’s never ending as an adult. But we are blessed with a new day every morning to be better than yesterday. We can make better, smarter choices. We learn how to be happy against the odds.
Embrace it. EMBRACE THE CHANGES. Love yourself.
I say all this because I need to hear it, too. This is me. Rough around the edges but worthy. I have bad days, worse days and then I have great days! I know I have come so far from old versions of myself and for that, I’m thankful. But I HAVE to remind myself constantly to be proud of who I am, as a woman and a new mother. Sometimes I look at myself and ask “WHO IS THIS LADY?!” Being a new mom has had me feeling very disconnected from myself at times. I love to wear makeup and feel pretty but that’s not happening often these days so I HAVE to remind myself. This is ME. No filter pretty enough to show my strength and growth as a woman. I’m strong and resilient. I’m aging but I’m beautiful even when I don’t feel it. THIS IS ME. I’m learning and trying every single day and for that alone, I’m proud of myself.
We have to remind ourselves how dope we are when there’s no makeup, no filter and no perfect body. I AM JAYDN’s MAMA! I am worthy. YOU are worthy!
