Earl Sweatshirt Calls Taylor Swifts New Video “Offensive”

Taylor Swift just dropped a new music video. The video features African American women twerking and Taylor Swift is being called out for it. Her “Shake It Off” video has dance from different genres though- including ballet and break dancing. Fans on Twitter have called her out for appropriating black culture and even called her a racist. The same thing recently happened with Katy Perry and her “This Is How We Do” video.

Rapper, Earl Sweatshirt, added to the conversation via Twitter saying, “haven’t watched the taylor swift video and I don’t need to watch it to tell you that it’s inherently offensive and ultimately harmful.”

Earl also said, “perpetuating black stereotypes to the same demographic of white girls who hide their prejudice by proclaiming their love of the culture.”

What do you think?
